Hi

I am taking a first look at arachnode.net and are trying to get it up and running on SQL server express.

I am running the console application and things seem to be going good. Data is getting stored in the database and the application completes the crawl.

When i try to search using the web project, i find that no Lucene index files have been created.

What triggers the index files to be created, and can it be done without running a crawl?

Thanks

Christian,

Try checking both the Configuration table (I think the current release has it!) and the CrawlActions.config files and make sure they each referrence the same correct path to your LuceneDotNetIndex directory.

I can't remember for sure which version is the current release.  The latest branch we are working on makes this much less error-prone as currently I think you have to set the lucene directory in two places.  In the next release this will be easier and all stored in the Configuration table.

Try checking those two places and see if that works for ya.
