When I open these 2 projects using vs 2013, there are 2 automatic project conversion errors: "The application which this project type is based on was not found. Please try this link for further information ..."

The solution builds fine. What is the usage of these 2 projects? Any fix to make them work in vs 2013?

Thanks,

Alex

The compatibility upgrade of the Business Intelligence projects has historically lagged behind with every update/upgrade of Visual Studio.

Analysis: A starter project for analyzing HyperLinks in Analysis Services.

Integration: Facilitates TF/IDF extraction of WebPage content.

Try this: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/14162947/using-ssis-bids-with-visual-studio-2012-2013

I will take a look and see if I can get them to upgrade in the SVN source.

EDIT: Looks like the upgrade for the BIDS projects makes the Analysis and Integration projects target SQL2012 - as so many users still use SQL2008 the solution will have to be upgraded by the end user.

For best service when you require assistance:

  1. Check the DisallowedAbsoluteUris and Exceptions tables first.
  2. Cut and paste actual exceptions from the Exceptions table.
  3. Include screenshots.
