SE can return results (documents) for the given period of time, it is described at: http://lucene.apache.org/java/2_3_2/queryparsersyntax.html
as mod date: [20020202 TO 20030101 ]

How and where can we use this syntax (i.e. within query itself or other parameters?).

In the 'query' field.  Not applicable anywhere else.

For best service when you require assistance:

  1. Check the DisallowedAbsoluteUris and Exceptions tables first.
  2. Cut and paste actual exceptions from the Exceptions table.
  3. Include screenshots.
